This intensive 5-day course is designed to prepare individuals for the ICC E-2 Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification Exam, based on the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). The class covers essential concepts, technical requirements, and real-world applications of the NEC that are critical for inspecting electrical installations in commercial buildings. This practice-focused course prepares students to navigate the code with speed and accuracy. Participants will receive a comprehensive review of the 2023 NEC’s structure and layout, grounding and bonding, wiring methods, overcurrent protection, conductor ampacity, and other key articles and tables. The emphasis is on how to analyze code violations/questions, what the code requires, how to locate the code reference, and how to apply the code. The course also includes practical exercises, sample exam questions, and mock inspections to simulate the certification test experience.
