Full Description
This training program is designed to provide inspectors with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to evaluate means of egress systems for code compliance and life-safety effectiveness. The course examines the principles of occupant movement, egress capacity, exit access, exits, exit discharge, travel distance, common path of egress travel, dead-end corridors, and other components that make up a compliant means of egress system. Participants will learn to evaluate egress systems based on occupancy classification, occupant load, building configuration, construction features, and the applicable code requirements.
