Full Description
2020 National Electrical Code requirements for the installation of Energy Storage Systems including a brief overview of the 2021 IFC, IBC and IRC requirements. Topics include: Listing Requirements, System Classification, Charge Control, Installation of Batteries, Disconnection Means, Equipment Locations, Connection to Other Energy Sources, Circuit Requirements, and Application Safety Standards. This course examines the IFC requirements on Technology Threshold Limits, Permissible Locations, Size and Separation, Maximum Allowable Quantities, and Hazard Mitigation Analysis. At the completion of this class, students should have the ability to recognize the installation and code requirements of the above listed electrical systems.
