This course examines the 2021 IBC requirements for Delayed Egress and Controlled Egress door systems. While difference between delayed egress and controlled egress systems can be confusing, they are implemented under specific conditions. This 2-hour presentation explains the difference between the two systems, understand where each is permitted, and explore the operational, safety and code compliance of each application.
